You can argue that on the lower end trims the Ram's are light years ahead of everyone else. You can get a Big Horn in a regular cab with every bell and whistle except leather I think. Heated seats, moveable pedals, heated wheel, even LED headlights. I actually like the Ford better except I wish I could get heated seats and the LED's on a regular cab XLT.
Ford made great strides in offering more features on an XLT starting in 2015 for the F-150, and 2017 for the Super Duty. Prior to those model years for their respective truck, you could not get a sunroof, navigation, or heated seats on an XLT. However, that is now offered. It appears Ford is doing the same thing again for 2021...an XLT can now be optioned with a 12" touchscreen, heated steering wheel, premium audio system, dual-zone climate control, and full LED exterior lighting. Those features will move to the Super Duty once it gets the interior upgrade. Of course, we can fully thank RAM for causing this change to happen.
Ford’s last cab ran from 1999-2016.
I would doubt there will be much of an exterior change in 23’, other than slight metal styling and grill/headlight changes. The “all new” F-150 uses the same cab, and insures the same cab will still be used for years to come. New interior in 22? Maybe.. it would make sense from a production standpoint, but more likely in 23’ when they can advertise an all new truck.
So if they are stopping 21 orders in Feb; and starting 22 orders in March, with a June production start date, it may almost be worth passing on my 21 order and shoot for 22, given that the next Sync version may not be available for 21MY trucks.

that’s my thought. I don’t need the truck right away so why not wait a few months more and see what happens. They pretty much changed nothing for 21 so they might do something for 22
So to add to the confusion... I emailed a sales guy at a local and reputable dealer:
I came into your store a few weeks ago and we took an F-250 for a drive in the dark and rain and got a preliminary quote for a .... price for a truck I hope to order soon.
I have heard two rumors:
1. The last day to order model year 2021 will be early March. Is that true?
2. The interior for the 2020 F-250 will be changed to match the current F-150. IS that correct? I really prefer the F-250 interior the way it is.
Could you find out what's going on here and let me know?

To which I got a rather short, 3 word answer...
Neither are true.
He could be right. Anything you have heard or read about the interior would be speculation as there is no evidence to suggest that. The order deadline that you might be thinking of applies to fleet orders, non fleet orders generally continue weeks beyond that. 2019 orders were accepted pretty long past the fleet deadline.

one thing I have learned from dealers is they are usually the last to know anything about new products and deadlines. I have one salesman I trust in my area and I still am telling him things about superdutys that he did not know. I knew about the 7.3 gas long before him or anyone at that large dealership knew about it.
I really can't believe what I read in this thread and it shows that people really don't take advantage of what's at their fingertips.
Anyone that passed around the "interior change for 2022MY" rumor, should really think and exercise due diligence. Absolutely ludicrous hearsay, with no credibility. What a laugh.
Only interior changes this year, are U553 and U554 for anything T3. P702 was last year, this year is U553/U554 and next year is P708.
None of this is plug and play, that only a comprehensive revision favors such an execution. Enough of the rumors, as they are baseless. If you really wanna be clever, c-codes = minefield.

Not accurate at all, as November is 3-4 months into MY 2022 P558 and nearly a year into ordering. 2022 is long.
P708 is MY 2023, because I am working on it and have been for a long time. You'll see them soon enough, but not naked of course. Testing schedule is not something I care to disclose on a forum.
