FordPass Points

How long does it take for the points to show up your account after purchasing a new vehicle. According to the Fordpass website, it should be credited within 30 days after logging in with the app.I talked to a representative last week (after waiting almost an hour on hold) and waqs told that yes I should have the points in my account. She verified all of my information and told me she would have to pass this along to a technician to evaluate the problem. Haven't heard back yet. Just wondering because a new truck with a diesel engine is worth quite a few points good for an oil change or 2.

The points from my purchase showed up two days after I bought my ‘20 F450.. The conversion rate is $.005 per point, so the 75,000 points I got for buying a diesel converts to $375. If you want to buy accessories, you have to go thru the service department at your dealer.

Mine have shown up relatively quickly, then again I've been in their system for a while and buying new truck every year.

I'm also trying out the new Ford Pass Credit card....I like points lately and 0% is like free money.

Mine showed up within days of taking my truck home. Points I've earned other ways, either thru promotions or other - take weeks.

I called my dealer at day 28 and they showed up the next day.
call your dealer as I wonder if they forget to put something in.

Mine added about $210 discount to my hard top cover I got from my dealer, plus my dealer sent me a 15% coupon 😎

I just went through this. When I bought a 2019 the points were there in less than 10 days. With my 2020 I was about 6 weeks, several phone calls and an escalation with a case number. They finally appeared.

Yes. I have a case number also. That at least gives me hope. Thanks.

The 2 out of the 3 people that I spoke to on the phone were not very helpful. Especially the very last guy.
The first guy told me that it looked like the dealership had activated the modem in the truck before the actual sale date on my paperwork and that was messing things up.
The second person I spoke to was a very nice woman that assigned me the case number and told me when to call back if I hadn't received the points. She basically told me that the first guy had it all wrong.
The last genius told me that if the points didn't get there by a certain date to call again and they would automatically award them. I was just thinking, "then why don't you just f***ing award them now". But I was a good boy and bit my tongue.

I don't think this makes any difference. Since 1993 I've had well over a dozen new Ford trucks. Yet I still had a big delay this time on the points compared to when I bought a 2019.
I think someone just dropped the ball. No way of knowing if it was the dealer or someone at Ford or whoever they have that takes care of points.

It took me almost 5 months and several phone calls. The customer service reps were always nice and escalated the request each time, but it took multiple calls to make it happen. I cut them a little slack because the initial purchase was in the early days of the pandemic shutdowns. However, I had to be persistent...
