My boss just bought an 06 Explorer last week. He said he drove it this weekend and the heat wouldn't turn on unless it was adjusted in a certain spot. He said he could hear a clicking kind of behind the dash and then it would work. Is there a type of mix valve in there that would get stuck? It does have a code that has to do with the Body Control Module. I didn't know if the two were maybe related. Ideas? Thanks in advamce.

They all do that at some point. Actuators are hard to get to. Gotta take the whole damned middle of the dash and the console out.
I managed to get it out just by taking the cover off that is by the drivers feet. Then the two bolts and two nuts on a small support behind it. With some determination the old one came out and the new one went in.
