My 2017 F250 does not start. I can hear the starter trying to crank the engine for a second, then nothing. I suspect one or both of the batteries are bad. Before heading to the local battery place to have them tested, I wanted to ask for recommendations for a replacement battery. Thanks!
I suggest an AGM type battery. All if the manufacturers make them. They a little pricy, tend to be better for starting, running electronics, safer, handling bumps, vibrations better, etc.
Great battery! If the OP needs batteries quick there is the X2 AGM sold by batteries plus. Nearly the same specs and also made by the same company. Currently there is a 60.00 discount on them if you buy online and pick up in store and apply the rebate.

I second the batteries plus X2 idea. I got the dual post version that has post terminals and marine style terminals. Makes hooking up accessories easier.
Get a pair of these at batteries plus if you have one in your area. Yes, they are pricey but they are worth it.
The 5 year replacement is the best in the industry, not like you will need it. I have posted several times on these. I have installed hundreds of these in outlr fleet trucks and have a pair in my personal truck and they are over 8 years old and still test 80% and have been in 3 trucks.

I see they have a 10% code on their site and a $30 mail in rebate on that particular battery. In your experience buying from them do you think that combines?

Yes it combines, there is several here that have recently taken advantage of the deal.
Thanks guys for the X2 suggestion! Just placed an order online and will be picking the battery up later today. Fortunately I have a Batteries+ store not too far from where I live. The passenger side battery was bad, had only 9.6V and 7 CCA left, even though I had recharged it.

I like having options, never thought about having both connections for other uses, and that is a great idea! 👍
Just go to autozone\pep boys and buy one/two they will give you the one you need,......man sometimes you guys overthink stuff.
Thats a funny way to look at it. I guess the same could be said with oil, tires and just about every other maintenance item. Not the way that I chose to care for my vehicles.

Batteries are a no brainer and always buy 2..well not this years diesels. I have logged over 1 million miles on Ford diesels,..well powerstrokes and the like and sometimes people overthink things. Oil-,Ford House does change, tires Michelin's.....otherwise no brainer.

DieHard Platinum from Advance Auto Parts would be a good choice.
