I have these (even though I took some flak about not doing both at same time , I did get them both within two weeks !! ) I also use a battery tender to keep them up as my truck is not a daily driver . No issues and no corrosion .

I used to run them when they were basically an Odyssey battery, I'm not sure about this recent reincarnation though.

A good sized unit capable of supplying lots of Amps is needed to reliably charge dual setups. Keep 'em plussed up so they don't get mismatched and they should last a lot longer and give good service. 15 to 20 amps and let 'em cook.

Ship sailed in 2013 for those. They were Odyssey batteries in a grey case. Now they are just a name on a Exide battery.

Make sure to get both batteries.

Is there any special procedure necessary after replacing the batteries, or is it just put em in and drive?

Die-hard batteries were manufactured by Exide then later by Clarios, now Advance Auto Parts.

Not the Platinum of the past. Unless Exide also manufactured Odyssey.

The DieHard brand is made by Clarios under contract with AAP who purchased the DieHard name in 2019 AAP is not a manufacturer. The old DieHard Platinum batteries from 2008-2013 were 100% Odyssey in a different color case and made by EnerSys.

If your budget is anything like mine the premium batteries from NAPA and Auto Zone have done well for me for 25 years or so. Never had a NAPA battery fail under warranty. Did have an Auto Zone die under warranty. Swapped it right out, no receipt, no questions and didn't even test it.

Write down your radio pre-sets.

Both X2Power batteries are now in, truck started right away. Didn't lose any radio settings, maybe because I did one battery at the time (?)
