Shudder Issue
Having a shudder issue with my 97 f350 460 (e40d trans). The issue began about 3 weeks ago. It developed a shudder when accelerating from 35 to 45 mph. Wasnt bad. didnt think much of it. It then developed to also shudder slightly around 65 to 75 mph. After that it rapidly got worse over a few days of driving to then shudder starting at 30 mph and up. Trans still shifting fine. Plenty of fresh trans fluid in it. After reading a few forums everyone was saying "classic torque converter issue". So, i replaced it. I also replaced trans filter and fresh fluid. Put all back together and same issue. Nothing has changed.....im at a loss. Checked input shafts for play in trans and transfer case. Also drive shaftes seem fine although i didnt throughly check u joints because so occupied with TC replacement. I believe all brakes and rotors fine too. Just cant seem to figure out shudder. Also worth mentioning that when i let off throttle at 35 mph + there is a noticable weird sound. Tough to describe but imagine like a baseball card in the wheel of a bicycle sort of clicking. Please help!!
