My 2007 F350 left me stuck in town today. Recently the fuel gauge would not work initially upon starting up but after 10 minutes it started working fine. I finished my trip to work and at the end of the day I started the truck up to head home. On the way I stopped at the grocery store and when I went to leave it would not start.
I pulled the codes and it threw P2291. I pulled the ICP cable to see if I could get it to start. No luck.

Definitely need to get a data monitoring device - Forscan or TorquePro and a wireless OBDII adapter - but, if you want something to do while you wait for the adapter, you could pull the IPR valve to check that it's functioning properly. According to my SnapOn software, that is the most common fix. If the IPR screen has a hole, there's a chance that whatever made it is stuck in the valve, holding it open so HOP can't build. Use a screwdriver to push the valve open and WD40, etc. to spray in the upper holes to wash it out.
