Question Manual to E4OD

Ok so I want to swap an 300/5 speed truck to a 5.8 e4od truck. I know how to do the engine swap just not the transmission part. I have the wiring harness from a truck but just no transmission, what would I all need then? Here's my list I kind of have in my head.
Wiring harness
Computer
Trans tunnel part
Shift column
The actual transmission

I can't really think of anything else besides cables and such if there are any. I have a 5.8/E4OD truck to go off of so that helps but you guys are smart so I would be hoping you could help. (The goal of the truck is to be a bit faster so I don't want a 5 speed or AOD/C6)

You'll also need driveshaft(s) since the E4OD is longer. You'll have to add all the extra parts to the steering column. Also you'll need the PRND21 part for the instrument cluster. I guess a pedal swap isn't mandatory, but it'd be nice to have the correct wide automatic brake pedal. Oh, the starters are different too. If the trans doesn't come with a flex plate you'll have to buy one of those. I can't remember if the engine spacer plate is different manual to auto on a 300, it definitely is on a 460. So you might need one of those too.

I've done the opposite swap twice now, once on a 300, once on a 460. The auto->manual direction is easier....

FWIW, my 300 was noticeably faster with the manual than it was with the E4OD.

might need to redo the cross member in the back with a different mount also. look into getting air and water coolers, some radiators have a built in liquid cooler but yours may not. an air cooler will help keep the temps lower. the correct order is transmission to water cooler, to air cooler, back to transmission.

What 5 speed is in the truck? M5OD or ZF? I could see top speed you are willing to go being limited by not having overdrive in the C6 but would you explain to me how the E4OD is faster than an AOD or C6?

I've been told that automatic pickups run the exhaust over the trans crossmember, whereas manual pickups run it below the crossmember. I assume it's to avoid the ZF's external slave cylinder. That was the case with my 1993 460 anyway. What about vehicle speed sensor?

The external slave cylinder is on the driver's side. All the V8s use a Y-pipe that wraps underneath the bellhousing and exits on the passenger side. The straight six has the exhaust on the passenger side. So none of the engines have exhaust any where near the slave cylinder.
