Winter time diesel operation

I just purchased a '20 F150 with the 3.0 diesel. This is my first diesel so are there any precautions for winter operations? I live in central Missouri and the temp can dip into the teens for a few days at a time. The truck is equipped with the block heater. The local gas stations have already posted the pumps have been switched to winter blend fuel.

For temperatures in the teens, you shouldn't need the block heater. It won't hurt though. Put the heater on a timer.

I would carry some fuel filters on hand in case you gel up.

Unlikely since you reported the stations have changed.

Ford also makes some anti gel. Nothing wrong with adding that in.

How’s the 3.0 so far? If you want carry a bottle of liquid heat (anti gel) just to be safe
