So I got a new truck and I turned on the Wifi with ATT 3GB trail. It's been on a week, maybe 10 days, But I really have not done anything with it.
Today I got a message that my data was almost gone.
What does this truck transmit in the back ground that will consume that?
I got the same message. I actually went into my account to look and I still had 3GB data - because I know I hadn't even connected anything to my truck. I think that they send that out as an automated email / reminder.
Where did you see that. I went into both my ATT account and the Vehicle account and can't see any breakdown of how much data has been used..
On my cell phones, I can see which phone on the plan used how much data and even what day they used it But nothing for the truck.

My only att account is for my truck. My cell phones are thru verizon. So when I sign into my att account it shows this on the account homepage;
Mine actually shows that I did use mine.
Mine is using it's cell data, And other than the first day, just making the connection, My laptop hasn't even been turned on inside the truck.
My phones are with AT&T and I fully expect to just add it to my monthly cell plan. I'll probably just start with the base plan and see how fast that data gets consumed, I can always move up to the unlimited as needed.
Well at least y'all are getting yours to work, my three month trial ends Jan 8, and have yet been unable to get the modem to work. and AT&T Connect do not communicate very well.

hmm.... maybe I should test mine. I've never actually used it.
There wasn't a lot of documentation on how to set it up and start using it
I can't remember the exact order of how I stumbled through the set up. I think on you dash screen under settings Swipe right and there is a section there to turn it on and then go in on Ford Pass and set up an account at ATT
Thinking out load....try shutting the wifi off on your phone? Wondering if, since phones always prefer Wi-Fi, it's latching onto the trucks data thinking it's a traditional landline.
should last a bit longer than that. I think mine lasted about a month.
I have ATT so I just added it to my plan and I share the data with all my phones.
I is useful for the better half when we are traveling.
As far as I know, the truck itself is not using any of the data.
I was under the impression that ford pass used it to send info back to ford. I never turned mine on and ford pass stays updated, my wifi remote start and alarm notifications still work.
