Hi guys. Starting to assemble some things on my 400. I think the machine shop may have placed the main cap bolt for oil pickup screen bracket on the wrong main cap. Anyone have a photo of the bottom of their engine minus oil pan? As you can see, it seems the 2 main cap bolts should be swapped. I may be completely wrong too. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Haynes said 95 to 105. Maybe whoever put it together thought it was front sump or something.
Hopefully they didn't just mix-n-match other parts or lose track of what went where! I'd let the shop know it's not quite right, in case something goes wrong on start-up.

got that issue with my 400. i switch my 351m to a 2wd 400. different pan and pick up screen. the front sump dont need that bolt. the 4x4 yes. i had to switch pick up screen and oil pan and borow that special bolt and nut from the 351m to acccept the longer pick-up. running perfect now.
Another question for oil pickup. Trying to get it to sit level as it would if the pan is on it. It's cocked to one side a little bit when the support bracket is bolted down to stud on the main cap bolt. I don't want to mess anything up. Any suggestions?
