Oil Pump Pick-up
The fu...I mean idiots at the machine shop put the bolt with the stud for this support on the wrong cap and I'm guessing just switching the bolts is not an option at this point.
I would switch the two ( Main Cap Bolts) and reinstall, and Retorque to correct Specs
I would loosen each Main Cap and retouqe each main cap one cap at a time to Specs!
I would also pickup some Plasti Gauge before hand, and even recheck them all, others may say just
retouqe just the two! Not me!
P.S. don't forget to retorque your oil pick all so !

1- He who says he never makes any mistakes will lie about other things too.
2- It isn't how bad it's broken but how well it's fixed.
Nothing like having the last piece of crown mold left on the job, cut it then find it's 1" short because you made a measuring mistake when cutting it.
My guess is the builder didn't install the oil pump or he would have caught that. Ask him to come over and fix it.

I'm with John on this one. Most engine builders are meticulous about details. Staying 100% focused in a noisy shop environment can be difficult for even the most experienced mechanics. Even if the builder can't or won't come to fix it chances are he/she won't forget it. I've long ago lost track of how many truck diesels I've overhauled. The jobs that went right are largely forgotten, the ones that went wrong are still stuck in my head.
