New Project, Brakes need help

Brought this home over the weekend. I've been working on it at a friends shop. It's a 73 F-350 with a 390 and a 4 speed, but with a 78 F-100 cab. I've replaced the calipers, pads, rotors, brake hoses, 1 brake line, master cylinder, rear hardware, rear shoes, wheel cylinders. I've bled the brakes quite a bit and I think I got all the air out of it, but there is a ton of pedal travel before anything happens. I'm thinking I just need to adjust the rear brakes up a bit, but I wasn't sure if there was something else I may have missed. The old master was leaking into and all the other brake parts were frozen or in bad shape.

Also, this doesn't have power steering, which is going to be fun as a dump truck.

I'm also looking for any information that anyone might have on how to identify the hoist components for the dump bed. I can't find any tags or numbers on it yet, but there is still ton of dirt and grease on it that I need to get off. The pump, valve and cylinder are all one unit.

If everything bled properly most likely the rear shoes need adjusted. Definitely a probable cause for too much pedal travel.
And yea you want to clean up the hoist looking for a tag. Careful because some tags have painted info that will be removed if a solvent product is used for cleaning the grease and oil away. If no identifying info, see if you have a local hydraulic repair shop or heavy truck shop. They might be able to identify it.

As for the steering, just put a ton or 2 of sand bags in the bed behind the axle and it will feel like you have power steering.

6 months later lol.
If adjusting the rear brakes didn't work, the brake booster push rod needs to be adjusted.
