My 2008 F-350 5.4L would start without dumping gas in the intake, it ran rough at idle and had no power, stalled or bogged when throttling and would not go over 3000 rpms. Had check engine light and showed 2 codes, PO191 Fuel Rail Sensor and PO751 Shift Solenoid also had green wrench on dash light.
found this video after learning PO191 most common fixes were Fuel Pump Driver Module and Fuel Pump
at 1 min 48 seconds the bypass the FPDM with paper clips trick is shown.
After i did the paper clip trick, my trucked fired up and ran normal again. photos will show failed FPDM and Paper Clip Bypass Failed Fuel Pump Driver Module, shows seal between plastic and metal expanded open at top right shows breach in seal between plastic cover and metal backing right side of pic Failed FPDM front view Paper Clip Bypass of FPDM

Reason: correct spelling
so we just had a huge snow storm, about 20 inches of snow, i still have not received my new fuel pump driver module so i made jumpers to take place of the paper clips, i plowed for about an hour and the truck ran fine, i can hear the fuel pump running constantly with a whine, hopefully it is not damaged by by passing the module, any way id say this is a great fix if you are stuck on the side of the road. it will certainly get you home.
By passed fuel pump driver module and installed new module still not turning on
I have checked all my fuses, I'm getting power to the back where the fuel pump driver module is located. I by passed it to make sure my pump was working( I unhooked the fuel line to visually see the fuel coming out)fuel came out. So I bought new driver module installed and my truck still won't teun on. It cranks but won't turn on

Joe, on my intake the drivers side has a rubber cap, I removed that added a hose long to the fender and I used a spray at other end of hose, give a couple squirts of gas see if it starts jump out and squirt bottle enough to keep it running. if it starts and runs, you've got another issue. maybe fuel rail, there is fuel rail sensor, that's what I got a code for and a transmission code, which ended up being my FuelPressMod.
I had starter issues this year, 3rd bolt is a son of a gun from on the ground doing it.
My battery was bad once and the truck would only turn over, battery said 12 volts but smart charger said it was at 30% capacity. New battery solve that.
I had starter issues this year, the 3rd bolt is a son of a gun from on the ground doing it, also rusted brake lines power steering lines and rusted rear differential cover
now I've got a bunch of header bolts busted, it use to quiet down after it warmed, it doesn't quiet down now. I hope it makes the winter that's major job.
good luck
