Senix,
As i just brought home my first Diesel, and it's a 6.4 I appreciate that you, as an owner, were happy with the performance of your diesel. I plan to use mine similar to what you have pictured. How many miles did you end up putting on the engine\Chassis?

I put 86k and a little over 2k hours. I would say 80 percent was towing.

I have a 2008 with a 6.4. 210k miles on it. I Just put new tires on it and wouldn't hesitate to drive it to Alaska! Maintenance is the key!

For a 6.4, you need to check the fluids weekly and if traveling, at every fuel stop (assuming you are towing). OEM Fuel and oil filters.

Strick oil and fuel filter change intervals.

First generation of the DPF so your regens will be more often. Mine were ever 130 miles with heavy towing but unload they would be out as far as 500 miles. My life time average was 11.5 mpg.

Did you use the Ford Dealership for this, or did you have better luck with a diesel shop or other aftermarket options?

In a past life I was a former Master Mercedes Tech.. However.. Now I work full time, and I have four kids (one is 5 months old). I'm tired of working, and want to spend as much time with the kids before they get any older.

210k 6.4l still running strong

I don’t know if this is to late or not but I have a 2008 6.4l f250 and I’ve got 210k on it deleted and still running strong. Yes I’ve had to put work into it but nothing major. The worst I’ve had to do was remove turbos to replace high pressure drain seal. Believe me you’ll know when it goes out. I use my truck as a daily driver and to haul a 38ft 5th wheel. Like People on here have said the key to them is Maintenence. Change oil and filter every 5k and I change my fuel filters every 10k. Get it checked out before buying and if the shop says it’s good just continue the good maintenance and it should last.
