And you couldn't be more wrong. Not all of us bought these trucks for weekly grocery runs and mall crawling.
95% do. Look at me and my big bad diesel that I will lift and put 24” wheels on it with super low profile tires and 100mm of negative offset, and a big exhaust tip so you know I am cool.
But hey, can ya blame Ford? And the aftermarket? it’s all a money game and they know Joe Schmoe will finance this $90k truck at $1700/mo cuz dIeSeLs ArE cOoL.
This mod is the only way to actually turn off traction control for many trucks unfortunately. I did every combination possible with my T/C button on the dash, but T/C would always kick on if I was spinning.[/QUOTE
No guns, electric micro cars with speed governors, no rude people, no injuries, no one speaks against anything, government provides us equally with what we need, what a lovely world it will be then huh.............Stallone played in a movie like that with Wesley Snipes.
If your using an upfitter switch, just curious why you used a relay?
With the upfitter switch OFF, the relay applies power to the ABS circuit from its 'normally closed' position (black wire going into the fuse box). When I flip my upfitter switch ON, it actually powers the relay to flip the power away from the ABS circuit and to a wire that goes nowhere (the yellow wire).
If you didn't use a relay, you'd have to keep your upfitter ON the entire time you wanted the ABS circuit to function normally (90% of my driving)

Ah makes sense, good idea. Do you have to clear the wrench from display when you turn abs back on?

What size wire did you use? Looks pretty clean with the black coating on it. Thinking of doing this to my truck just for dirt use.
That's not a coating it's shrink tube it gets cut longer than the crimp or solder connecter and slipped over the wire before connecting, make crimp or solder then slide tube over connection and apply heat it will shrink tight if you use the right size.
I did this mod to my truck a while ago. It works great.
And no, it's not for burnouts...it's for when I want or need full control of my truck because the stupid nannies won't let me do what I need to do, or will get me into more trouble...
When this mod is engaged, you will lose rear parking sensors, cruise control, factory navigation, and of course, ABS.
Makes rocking a truck to get it unstuck possible like 20 yrs ago
