So, apparently Ford is being funky for the 21s. In that normally, when you get tan, they make basically the whole interior tan, so it matches. Coworker is getting a new work truck('21 XLT), and apparently it has the tan interior. Which is cool, but I'm sorry, the darker option looks great, but the tan has a face only a mother could love, IMO...
The seats themselves look awesome, I love the contrasting black. But against the grays in the rest of the cab(dash, headliner, etc), it just looks so... bad/out of place...
What do you all think about it?
Also, coworker feels the same, but doesn't care. It's a work truck. When work is paying for the truck, insurance, maintenance/repairs, gas, etc, who are you to complain? IMO complaining just makes you come across as unappreciative...(difference between complaining, and making them aware of a legitimate issue)
I’m not a fan of black interiors. I wish Ford would go back to having tan on top of the dash and tan carpet. They started this dark dash top and dark colored carpeting in the 2009-2014 body style, and I have never cared for it.

Personally I like them, but to each their own. I wouldn't want like, *all black* though. I enjoy the black leather/dash in my car though. But yeah, that's how my dad's F250 is- tan everything. IMO the new F150 would look so much nicer if they made the pillars/headliner either the same tan, or the same black that's on the seats. When only the seats/console, glove box, and bottom portion of the door panel are tan, and everything else is black/gray(mostly gray), it just looks really out of place.
I think dark grey and tan look good together. The light grey headliner, A and B pillars look really bad with those seats and carpet. That is a digital animation and the shade of tan is bad. I'd have to see it in person before I decided. Lets hope that the quality of the cloth is high and that it doesn't look like entry level import car cloth.

Agree, and I hope so too. His biggest concern with the seats(besides the looks) is that he's one of those guys who tends to slide in and out. On his last F150(I think like a '10 or '11? Idk but it was that generation), the edge of the seat got torn up from where he gets in and out.
So I may be crazy but I have been in grey interiors for about 10 years. Really don't want it again. Ford's tan is not very appealing at all. Ram has a nice tan in their Big Horn trim that I like a lot. Very frustrating
I wouldn’t get too excited about the side panels being two toned as severe as shown. Those are photos off Build and Price, and it says they are not actual examples.
These are real photos of grey in the wild. XLT’s, but they really look good...

Can't decide if the thought of that makes them better or worse tbh.. But yeah, those gray seats do look really good
The tan looks great. 2020 F150 “grey” was super blah. RAM offered several interior colors on their XLT equivalent Big Horn which were much more appealing...Mountain Tan was one such choice.
They do look great in person. but is the headliner grey, like on the B&P, or the same black as the seats? Cause IMO the grey headliner is what completely kills it for me.

But if it was black.... that would like bad@$$
I’m sure the headliner is dark grey to match the A, B, and C pillars as it usually is.
