Hey Bill, I have a challenge for you! You gotta say something positive in each of your next ten posts. Well, try anyway. I like the tan and charcoal look. Too fancy for me though. Looks better than all tan.

I like the tan / black contrast, and the door panels look great. I still prefer the Mountain Brown version of this combo in the RAM; the tan is a little darker and there is tan contrast stitching in the black seats and steering wheel.

I just got that interior on a 21 Lariat. The pillars and headliner in the original post's pictures appear a little off compared to my perception in person. They are black or a very deep dark grey but I would lean black. The door panels above the arm rests are like a dark grey denim looking soft material as opposed to the hard textured plastic that was in that spot before. I saw this post before I looked at my new truck so I was on the fence but when I saw it in person it all really works good together, for me anyway. I love it.

Edit to add that those new seats are deep, I'm 5' 11" they go to the back of my knees. My 18 Super Duty's seats weren't that deep.

I'd love to see pics of the inside of your new truck if you have time. The 2017+ Super Duty has the exact same seats as a 2015+ F-150. I'm glad to hear the new 2021+ seats are better. At least on a 2015+ Lariat F-150, the door panels above the arm rest were covered with a soft vinyl, although it was thin. The XLT and lower trucks were all textured hard plastic; and it appears to remain that way for the 2021 model year.

It’s darker in person than the OPs pictures.

Sweaty and dirty arms will mess up that black cloth door panel pretty quick.

Its a lightly padded vinyl type of material. Looks kind of like black denim in person. We were ordering another SD, Star White with a Camel interior and changed our minds last minute. The F150 was just more practical for our needs. Don’t get me wrong I like the big trucks a lot but this thing is just a pleasure to ride in.

I have black interior in my new Cheyenne and the sugar from powdered donuts really show and it's deeply annoying having to repeatedly vacuum to get it out.

I am all down for lighter colors.

At least you know it’s clean that way.

Thanks for the pics, BlackSTXFL. I think it looks really good. Something different, and the contrast is nice. I also like how Ford decided to move away from the single rear reading lamp with two switches in the middle for trucks without a sunroof, and decided to give "all" trucks the sunroof-style individual reading lights.

Yeah the ambient lights have a little dot on those switches to see them. The interior looks really good with the Star White and the truck is noticeably cooler than the black Super Duty with grey interior that I had.

BlackSTXFL, thanks for the pics, on the lariat it looks really good.
Regarding how it looks different, the pictures are from the XLT, and from the looks of it(at least, looking at your pictures, as well as both trims on the B&P), the reason for the difference is because the headliners appear to actually be different, and it seems the xlt actually does have a lighter headliner than your Lariat. Like I said, on your truck it looks really good, I like how the tan is almost more of an "accent" color.
