yes it comes with a harness to piggyback ecms the original ecm runs the trans and the engine runs off a mustang ecm. does summit have the kit for the lightnings? the only one i have seen there are for f150s with 302 and aod.
$1000 is pretty expensive but it comes with injectors and maf and computer all i need is the throttle body the 86mm is $175 the pro-m kit is $1500 and it doesnt have injectors or computer
Originally posted by jesse460 it does have 80mm maf and 30lb injectors what size throttle body should i get i like the single 86mm boss throttle body fms part no.m-9926-x50
What intake manifold are you using? What heads? What cam?
i just got off the phone with the ford perfomance techline i was told it should work, the wiring harness will fit fine. the only difference is the lightning throttle body is a single bore not dual like the regular f150s. i was told they cant guarantee it fits because they havent done it in house but several people have used the kit on regular f150s and it worked fine

Wow! You got through to them, I've never been able to when I needed to! LOL.
You are going to need a Factory MAF truck intake setup to hook the twin TB's to the MAF meter. It's about $110 @ Ford.
A single 86mm TB is WAAAAY too big. I think a twin 56mm TB is plenty large if you use the Edelbrock EFI truck intake or the stock 351W one.
i am using a 426ci windsor with 351c 4v heads the intake is a 351c tunnel ram that has been converted to be efi the bungs are tig welded into the runners and the top is a custom made plenum setup for the single bore throttle body
i have a 95 f 150 302(5.0) with a 4r70w and have done a little research into upgrading my truck to a 351w (5.8) and found that i could with no problems.. the 4r70w is an e40d modified.....so you may want to look at that route for your truck...and my truck is maf from the factory....

Ah I see now. Well how big's the cam? Like a 234/246 .570" that's the sort of cam I'd run with a setup like you have.
That tunnel ram is going to give you an odd powerband of 2500-7500rpms most likely.
If you go to a cam that large, an 80mm TB or slightly larger should work.
I thought you were running just a 357 and wanting that 86mm TB!! hahaha

The E4OD is a beast compared to the 4R70W. The E4OD is an electric C6 w/ OD...now it is the 4R100. The 4R70W is derived from the ol' AOD...that's why almost all the internals stack up the same.
i dont know what cam i am going to use yet the engine builder wanted to know the gear ratio and tire size, that i know gear ratio is 6.72 to 1 tire size is 54 inches i dont know how much the truck is going to weigh probably close to 8,000 lbs
