I got the Daystar air bag cradles so I don't have to worry about extended length. Hopefully I will have the spring plates completed this weekend so my air bag setup will make more sense.
THe bags are Firestone 267c (2.8" compressed and 5.5-6.5" dive height) I got in This kit. No real reason for picking the kit other than the upper brackets looked like they would work and it was an Amazon warehouse deal so I got the kit for 190 bucks.

Sorry I didn't see you were going to add tabs for the ubolts.
I Considered making the lift blocks like that but it would have took me a lot more time to make them. If I still had my plasma cutter I would have made them that way.

I haven't bolted the wheels on to check yet... I should know this weekend. I did not do a trial assuming I may run spacers to get the rear wheel base closer to the front. I just hope I don't have to do for it to drive down the road.

Agreed with cradles the bag travel won't matter. Have not tired them myself. Looking good!

Drove the truck yesterday. I didn't know what to expect as I was a little concerned they would be too soft. I was pleasantly surprised. Truck rode great! It may be a better than any of the newer cars we have. I was also surprised it does not sway that bad. I was expecting it to need a front sway bar immediately but it is very drivable as is.

I have not driven it hard yet since I don't have the track bar installed yet. I don't think it could twist the springs enough to damage the u-joint but would rather not find out. So towing and testing the bags is also out until I install the track bar.

I ended up going 2 degrees down on the differential. So far it has been vibration free even though I do not have the track bar in yet. It had a vibration at 75 before but the pinion was up 5+ degrees. Whoever put the 78-79 Dana 60s under the truck originally didn't set it right.

Truck outside the garage with my new old bumper. Don't know what I will put in yet but there is plenty of room.

Planning on towing a car this weekend so I rushed getting the trac-bar done.

Had to put a slight bend in the crossmember to clear the emergency brake cable.

Could not put the bracket straight up because I would have to rework the brake lines and the axle vent.

Crossmember with shackle mount.

crossmember welded into frame.

Trac-bar complete.

Sweet!
Get a chance to test drive it yet? Should change dynamics under acceleration.
How long is the bar setup?

The lower bar is a little over 4ft center to center. If I wasn't in a rush I would have made the upper adjustable but just didn't have the time.

It is so much better when I accelerate hard now. With the softer springs you could tell power was lost to spring wrap.

I took the trailer to family about 1-1/2 hours away. Only had the old rearend loaded. No air in the bags. It was a little soft in the rear but I was expecting that. Pulled the trailer pretty well. Will see how it does with a load on the way home.

I was going to ask about adjustability. I understand the constraints. If pinion angle is good call it a win.

Let us know how it does unloaded. Should do smooth burnouts.

Curious to see if yours picks up the front end like mine. You have better/shallower angles that result in better anti-squat values. and lower CoG.

Truck looks really good, hard to know what it's packing underneath.

I have not gotten to spend much time with it but I think it is over 100% anti-squat. The truck feels like it lifts when I get on it. I could probably make a longer shackle and a new adjustable track bar if I want to play with the anti-squat. It could be a fun adjustment since it changes the feel off the truck so much. I don't mind over 100% anti-squat unless it makes the rear suspension too stiff under normal acceleration which I have not noticed so far but most the miles have been with a trailer so far.
