New to me truck. 2002 dually. Been parked at a ranch for a few years. They stopped using it because the shift lever plunger broke. Gonna be needing lots of advice. Thanks in advance.
We love to offer advice and encouragement for projects like this and we look forward to seeing the progress you make! You probably already know this, but fresh fuel, fresh oil and check for rodent damage on the main harness and in the valley.
Looks a little rough around the edges now, but there is a highly valued diamond under there!
You have a long row to hoe there! Literally, gonna be quite the process to remove all the dirt, dust and other organic material to "unearth" the beast waiting for you! Good luck on your adventure.
Looking forward to watching this project. Looks like a southern truck so rust won't be an issue but the dust resembles my truck which came from Tx originally. You'll be digging that stuff out for a while. Think I still have an inch or 2 inside my doors
Hey, the resident expert on polishing factory aluminum dually wheels...and sage wisdom for him?
Ha! Thanks Rob. I actually DID look at those. They may just need a good washing, but I can't totally tell from the photos if it's just dirt or if they are corroded. My bet is they will need the full treatment. If the OP wants advice, I'll be glad to give it.
So it's been a while, I had to sit on moving and starting repairs on this because my wife got sick. but i'm happy to say that finally it's running and i've started ordering parts.
i'm looking for a dually front wheel. if anybody knows any leads on that it'd be appreciated.

All it took to run was batteries, even ran on the old *** diesel. Its idling pretty good.
The wife is doing better thank god. Thanks for the thoughrs. I am gonna go all out on this truck. New turbo. Gonna redo interiors, paint it. Do some welds on the flatbed for my tools and a install a little crane.
It will take time but its gonna be my daily driver for work.
