Well I have improved this issue a little bit. My PCV valve grommet on the Valve cover wasn't a tight fit. A friends dad pointed this out to me and told me not to do anything until I fixed that. I replaced the grommet and PCV valve and am amazed how much of a difference that little detail made. The only issue I currently have is a Full Throttle bog in the higher RPM Range. Runs like a dream in the lower to mid ranges, and even in the higher ranges up to about 3/4 throttle. Could this be as simple as throwing some bigger jets in and calling it good?
When tuning carbs it is always try it and see how it runs.
It either runs better or worst so if worst you go back to what you had or even back a little bit more and see then back to where you started.
At 1 time you could read the plugs but with todays fuel I don't think it is that easy now days.
That is why they make AFR gauges for tuning carbs.
