97 E350 SD 7.3 ABS Module
1) ABS Control Module was showing as bad on code diagnostics (open circuit)
-I pulled it off and began my search in finding someone to repair, unfortunately none of the ABS rebuild specialist appear to be interested and have indicated there is not a rebuild solution.....
Has anyone bumped up against this before? It's an obsolete part at dealer, no aftermarket option......does this mean I am resorted to junkyard option with a 50/50 chance that I buy one that works?
2) Got a code for an ABS Relay......
-My van has ABS fuses (all were good) but I could not locate a relay.......even the manual did not indicate an ABS Relay
It's odd
that the code would come back as a bad relay but I cannot locate and owners manual did not indicate one.........is it hidden somewhere else besides the obvious place (fuse/relay box behind in the left front)?

The only ABS relay in an E-Series is part of the 4 wheel ABS systems---your van shouldn't have that feature. I'm looking over my factory schematic for a '97 E350 and don't see anything other than the usual ABS system components which include the brake pedal switch and the brake fluid level warning switch typically located on the master cylinder.
If you're able to obtain the Ford p/n for the control module doing a Google search for it should show something. If that doesn't work you may be relegated to buying a new complete ABS control module and pump block. OR you can simply ignore the ABS light BUT keep in mind you no longer have any function of the ABS system as designed.
