$5000 doesn't buy much transportation in today's world. Without rust sounds like a good deal, don't become disappointed as most 47 year old's can use a little maintenance.
Thats fair! haha. I just have very little knowledge on that specific model and was looking for some advice/insight in general and if thats a good price. It's really hard to find comps on it.
Based on the photos, I'd seriously consider buying it for $5K. And it's doubly good for you since you're in california. The truck is smog exempt....for now.
It seems to be an O.K. deal if there are no hidden negatives. You could do a compression check on the engine if you have any doubts. As mentioned '73 is a good year to have in CA. $5K is 1/2 what I paid for my '76 in CA a few years ago.

Reason: grammar correction
Don't know how 5 biguns affect you, but that's a lot of truck there. Some dings, but the truck looks great! Sure make a good home for a 390 someday too.
