So now that it's getting colder it has come my unfortunate realization that I don't have the cabin heater. I looked at the window sticker, no mention of it there. I didn't even think about it when I bought it. The truck was originally ordered in NY and dealer traded to the place I bought it in wheeling WV. The dealer trade had nothing to do with me as the dealership is 70ish miles away, just happened to see it online in the "vehicles you may be interested in".
Rapid-Heat Supplemental Cab Heater (41A) is standard in AK, CO, IA, ID, ME, MI, MN, MT, ND, NH, NY, SD, VT, WI, and WY. You should also have the block heater as standard.
In theory, yes it can be added. The real question is, at what cost. There is a thread, I think on FTE, where a guy added the aux heated to his truck (2011-2016). It requires you to pull the dash to remove the HVAC box or to get access to the HVAC box. Add the components to insert the aux heater and then hope your truck dash wiring has the connector. then you have to program the the truck APIM for Aux Heat.
