P/S pump hose leak- 2001 Screw- Source of teflon seals?
Greetings!
221K on 4.6, changing alternator tonite and noticed puddle of oil on dirt....hmmmm. P/S fluid......down about 1/2" in the reservoir, so this has just started.......
Looked at hose connection to pump and can see source of leak. Search on this topic resulted in guys posting about getting new teflon seals and o-rings to solve this problem. Search on discount online favorite store resulted in hoses only, no small seal kits for the pump end.......
Can anyone provide part numbers/sources for this teflon seal (if still used in 2001)? I think I can source o-rings by size in a selection rack......unless of course these too are special? Can't see why.......
Thanks in advance!!!

Oreillys auto Dorman Part #82540 $3.79 Card of 2

I would do this and tell them which Teflon seal:Go to the Ford dealership, a good commercial counterperson will know what you're talking about.
Their part number I want to say OEM part number is 388898s

Just a suggestion,
Hint: those white teflon seals can be a pain to install over a threaded hose end. What I have done (on other applications) is make an installation tool out of one of those 8 inch WalMart long tapered plastic funnels. Just cut the tip off at the right size to fit over the hose end, now you have a tapered installation tool.
