PS leak

I was installing my gauges and noticed my PS leak. Knew it was leaking, just haven't fixed it. The top line coming out of the pump is loose. It moves in and out. Can someone tell me what kind of seal it has in there before I take it loose,as I don't want my truck to be down for too long. Thanks.

I hope you mean power steering, if it is leaking behing the fitting you have to get a new hose, and they have a hard teflon seal that is a pain to mess with.

Yes it's power steering. Just wandering, never had to mess with it. The nut on the hose is tight but you can pull the hose back and forth about 1/2".

they are made to be able to move. normaly you have to change the hose to stop the leak.

Kla,

My 94 is doing the same thing. Rock auto has the hoses pretty cheap, but I need to measure it to know which one to order. I'll do it one of these days!
