I was really happy that I was able to get my doors back together and everything worked, until yesterday. A friend got in the passenger side and when he rolled the window down the glass came off of the lift channel. Then I rolled the driver side window down and the same thing happened.
Today I set the glass back into the lift channel, but when I roll it up, the regulator contacts something on the door latch mech. The drivers side works, but the passenger side hits so hard it won’t go up more than 1/2 way.
So I have 2 questions.
1) Should I use an adhesive on the lift, channel? I’m thinking maybe a weatherstripping adhesive, or a urethane.
Once again @abe proves that this is the best forum on the internet.
you were correct, the door handle regulator was bent interfering with the window regulator. I was able to reach in and using a mirror and a flashlight and bend it back. I glued the channels to the windows and they seem solid, the windows roll up and down without much effort.
