Some kids shattered my driver side window the other night and I am struggling to replace it.
I picked up a window at the wrecker, but I cant' figure out what order to use to reassemble the door.
I am trying to put the window into the door first, then replace the wing window assembly, then add the regulator assembly.
I just can't seem to find clearence for everything.
Does anyone have suggestions for what to do first? Any "tricks" I should be aware of?
I worked in a shop that tinted windows and we removed all glass that was removeable. Did lots of these pickups. We removed the inner and outer weatherstrip at the beltline, removed the bolt and scews from the wing assy, pulled it down and tip it back. Lift it out of the door while rotating it around the brace on the bottom. We never took a regulator out, just slide the glass forward and lift it out. We just reversed it to install. The door glass was always put in before the wing.
