I have a 2016 F250 6.7L diesel with approximately 73,000 miles. While driving down the highway I got the "You have 50 miles until you can not go over 50mph" warning including a warning light that stated Exhaust Fluid System Fault,. In less than 5 miles, the truck went into what Ford calls "Limp mode". I had to have the truck towed to the dealership. Prior to this, I also had all of my warning lights and gauges go off and quit working. The service writer I dealt with called this the "Christmas Tree Affect", and stated that they would have to unplug all of my wiring harnesses from underneath the dash, clean them, and then reconnect them, but this may not solve the issue. As I have the Premium Warranty with this truck, I figured it was covered, as the warranty states that all wiring harnesses are covered. Nope, As far as the dealership was concerned, it wasn't covered under warranty because they didn't replace a part, and because the truck went into Limp mode. The truck had more than half full DEF according to the truck system. I failed to see how the two were connected unless the electric system allowed the DPF system to fail, causing the Limp mode to occur. Obviously Ford doesn't see it that way. Now Ford says that the DPF is clogged and needs replacing, at a cost $4010.95 for the filter alone, plus labor. Ford also says that the mechanic might break some of the sensors while replacing the filter and that I'll need to pay for those as well. If I don't want to pay for the sensors the mechanic might break, they won't do the job. Sounds like extorsion. So basically making a short question long, has anyone else had these issues and what was your results.
++++ agree. Try another dealer if possible. Make note of time/dates of conversations for later use during testimony. I have spoken to others in Colorado that have heard that a class action is brewing. Good luck.

Thanks
As far as the dash lights are concerned, there is a large wiring harness with a connector plug that is attached to your park brake. When one releases the park brake, the resulting vibration can cause the plug to loosen over time. When said plug gets a little loose it can cause all the weird effects you are seeing. It would be worth your time to take the harness loose from the park brake, separate the plug, clean and re-connect said plug, then find a new spot to attach the harness to a spot that would not be so likely to cause the problem again. Then proceed from there........maybe this will rectify the whole situation. Good luck.
On the extended warranty bit, I can offer no help there........except cancel it and cash out if you can.
Buying these extended warranties is like buying lottery tickets thinking that is a good retirement plan.
