Haven't seen anyone do it in awhile, but folks were spraying bed liner on the valve covers and reporting a noticeable difference in engine noise.
I've debated doing it myself but haven't gotten around to it..

I would believe that bedliner in valve covers would reduce injector noise.
Oil pan would be another place..

I have e350 with 5" dual exhaust,no muffler..
Is it loud?Yes.🙉
But when i put that Walker 52" long muffler in place,it is quite tolerable..😎

I recently put an Aero 26" long muffler on my truck and its made a huge difference for drone and noise as well.
