460 bell housing

460 bell housing

2 questions; 1) did they make a 460 bell housing with a mechanical clutch lever? 2) Does anyone have a bell housing they want to sell preferably in New England area?

For what trans are you talking about? On the ZF5, the bellhousing is integrated with the trans.

No for a 4spd. It's going to go in a '79 F150 and I was thinking of using a top loader I have that came out of a 68 Mustang GT., I was hoping to stay away from a juice clutch 'cause I'm old and I like simple.

There are such bellhousings and they are available as the 351M and 400 motors used starting in 77 on trucks have the same bolt pattern:

Really, I may have one of those, the '79 4x4 chassis I put under my 66 had a 400 in it, I should have that lying around someplace I will take a peak. For some reason I thought they were different from the 385's
