Broken shock mount

I have a 2002 f250 7.3 piwerstroke turbo desiel 4x4 with a 6" lift I used to have duel canister duel shocks, they have been toast for years I think

Old (tnt 2.0)
I brought bilsteins and installed them the guy at off road wherehouse said they would work

This is what they look like on the truck

this is the kid 2.0 T.N.T
I somehow broke the mount that held the shocks on

This is the passner side picture i broke the driver side at the top bolt
my question is cant I just weld the bracket back together

You can probably weld that piece back together. I would add a second plate over the original to reinforce it.

The dampers in your original dual shock setup were designed to work with the remote reservoir. If the new ones were designed without the remote reservoir, that's how they should be used. The question becomes whether they're the right ones for your application.

I would suggest you take a closer look into why it broke.

-Is the other side stressed or cracked?
-Are these shocks bottoming out before hitting the bump stop?
-Not sure what material that tubing is, looks chrome plated.
-You may want to consider welding the bracket to the frame vs keeping it bolt on?

Look at where it was bolted on, it looks like the frame is cracked beside the mount. Is the frame twisting there from age or rust?
That plate looks very thin to hold that kind of setup without giving. The setback of the tubes can put pressure on the backside making the frame rail flex causing that type of break.
