Hey everyone I found this plug seems to be tied into the ignition. But there are a few wires that are disconnected I’m trying to fiqure out what this is for. My 4x4 is currently doing nothing not turning on. No lights nothing. All I’m getting is the clicking relays. So I started to dig in and found this. So I guess I should start here and get all this plugged in correctly “the wires came undone” not sure when, this may not have anything to do with the 4x4 but still want to get this fixed any help would be greatly appreciated
That looks EXACTLY like what I pulled out of my 2001 about a year ago.
I BELIEVE STRONGLY that is an anti theft wiring deal.
If you tell the dealer you do not want to pay for the accessory they disable, but leave it in there.
I don't believe a new car dealer would be using wire taps on an OEM system. Someone installed an aftermarket alarm/remote start unit and pulled it out.
I did not say that it came from the factory, but now you have me thinking.
OP Jacob Todd, what is the first Character of your VIN?
Mine is a 3 which means my truck was made in Mexico.
I bought it from a San Diego dealer. Aug 2001
Side note: The guy who was working on my truck, he freelances for new car dealers installing GPS systems; and he told me what it was and he took it out while I watched.
