Wires I.D

Guys,
Starting to clean up the wiring on my 79 250 and had two wiring questions.
Picture # 1 There is a jumper in a unused plug on firewall.
Picture # 2 A wire that has a connector that looks like it would go to a a fuel tank sending unit. The wire was rolled up on the frame rail by the Xfer case.

Thank you in advance
Alex

The first one looks like the jumper wire used to replace the neutral safety switch on trucks with a manual transmission. The second pic is a connector for the "lock" indicator light used on trucks with a NP203 full-time transfer case.

DB429SCJ,
Thank you for the reply. You are probably right with your thinking.
All I was trying to do was a little trouble shooting before I put voltage to my wiring.
I will let it stay until I put voltage to it. If the jumper is needed I will do a nice plug for it..
Thank you again for your time.
Alex
