2014 6.7

Hello,

Thinking about picking a 2014 6.7 from a private seller. I going to have it looked over by the Ford stealership. Other asking for them to inspect the vehicle. Are there any additional test I should have the run to check the condition of the engine. Are there any areas that I should pay attention to?

hook up ids, have then run a fuel dianostics on the injectors and test the clutch fan for proper operation if you are already paying.

Check the coolant all fluids to include transfer case.

Emissions intact.

Might want to have them give you an oasis report on the truck. That should show you any warranty/service issues with the truck.

Look under the truck to see if the emissions were deleted. If there is a straight pipe under there you have a deleted truck and need to make sure the seller has the tuner.

I have a 14. My third super duty. Drove it off the lot in Feb 2014. 88,000 miles. Has not been in the shop for anything but a few routine maintenance items. Best of the three and that includes a 2001 7.3:

I went and checked out the truck. The owner had several injectors replaced in June. I saw where they had run the IDS. The truck is stock, nothing has been modified. Looked up under the truck, clean as a whistle.

when you say clean, does that mean the emissions is still intact? Non modified, not tuned truck?

If you drive it, drive it hard. If you could tow with it, I would.

If the priced is right than i would not have a problem buying this truck. However the 11.14 had turbo issues so be careful. Not sure if Ford has a way to check them.
