I assume Chevy and Dodge are in same boat but I haven't checked. Very hard to find a 2020 so I just ordered a 2021 f450. Has anybody checked with other truck makers? I could go back to Chevy, I think, if this truck doesn't come thru. But don't know if I could do Dodge.
Well GM does currently have better inventory in the HD market than Ford in my area. The Ram trucks are barely on the lots. Unless you really did mean Dodge in which case I don't pay attention to their car inventory.

Dodge, ram, same thing. Just could never get serious about them. At least 1/3 I see on the road here have rust areas on them

Unless you are looking at Chassis Cab’s; I don’t think GM nor Ram offer anything to compete with the F-450 anyway. Neither offer a 4500 pickup.
The F450 fits a narrow segment and the F350 srw as well. Its something you cant get in the others and is also rarely seen (3500 srw).
But if I needed a truck just because I would look at the others. Had some annoying issues with my dodge and chevy heavy duty trucks but nothing that would persuade me into riding a bicycle around.
If the new GM is anything like the early 2000s models it would be a good truck.

I agree on the Chevy. First diesel was a new duramax 2005. Absolutely great engine. Then emissions took over and ruined things for next 10 year's
