Bob: Ford doesn't exist and even if it does you can't afford it or you can't get it for some reason or there is SOMETHING going on and there is no way you can buy a Ford truck EVER!
Tom: What are you getting at?
Bob: (now holding a gun to Tom's head) - listen I have a gun to your heard here and you HAVE to choose one or the other. Being that there is no Ford truck available for purchase, what would you say? DODGE or CHEVY? WHAT WOULD YOU SAY?
Tom: SHOOT ME!
This is something that I don't like to think about...but I'll play along. It's so hard, I mean, I wouldn't want to be caught dead in either...
Dodge Cummins, with a 6 speed...
2002HD Chevy with the powerdome hood...
IF I had to...
A bicycle .....or skate board, new running shoes, roller blades, speed skates, tandem bike without a second rider, grocery cart with bricks in it, new underwear with itch powder for added incentive... wheel barrow….my mind, it is running ramped with ideas
Well if it had to be a "Billy Goat" (Dodge) it would have to be a 93 or older pickup or Ramcharger. If it was a 1/2 ton I would have to have either the 225 Slant six or the 318 small block...the 360 would do okay. It would have to either be a manual tranny or have the 727 automatic. If it was a 3/4 or 1 ton it would have to have the Cummins turbo diesel with a manual trans. If it was to be a Chevrolet I would have any 87 or older pickup or any 90 or older Blazer or Suburban. In 1/2 ton trucks any inline six or the 350 motors would be my choice. In 3/4 or 1 ton trucks it would have to be either the 350 or 454 motors. Far as trannies go, anything but the TH700R4, TH350 and TH400 are okay and any of the manual trannies available. In my eyes everyone built a good truck at some point in time, you just need to find the right year. The older trucks were always better if you ask me, it's kind of a toss up.
