Hey guys and gals, I have an 18 f350 6.7, parked it outside the other day and it wouldnt start the next morning. Checked under the hood and the fuel filter return connection had snapped off. (im thinking one of our kittens climbed under the hood to be warm and snapped it)
Up here, the cost for a new line and connection was 250 bucks Canadian from the dealers, so I opted to buy a replacement connector from accurate diesel for 45 ish bucks, and wait the week or two it will take to get here.
Anyways in the mean time I have done a little more research on this issue and came across a conversion kit that looks to eliminate any future issues for about 250 bucks. Had I found it earlier I likely would have bought that instead, but it is what it is.
I just want to know if anyone has installed this kit, and how it has been so far? Does the Baldwin BF7967 filter provide proper filtering vs the oem filter? Any pro's or cons to this setup that anyone can see? For me, its pretty much worth it just to have a connection that wont break on me, having me to drive my old g body or highboy while my truck is down in the winter! Link below.

there’s a guy in YouTube called Moostang09 and he installed that conversion kit. For me, i’m still under warranty so i’m sticking with Motorcraft for the time being.
The problem with the aftermarket kit is that the Ford filter kit comes with both filters - upper and lower. So now you have a filter you can't use and you're still paying for the aftermarket filter.
