Just joined today, been lurking for a few weeks now and couldn't stand it any longer. Lot of good info here. Don't know if I'll be able to contribute much, but I have owned my Excursion since 2001 and never plan on getting rid of it as there is nothing else that can do the tasks that it does! Was trying to access the 7.3 info in the tech files and was told that I didn't have permission to access this info! Just a glitch I hope. Anyway, hello everyone and I'll try not to ask too many questions unless I'm just absolutely lost.

You should be able to get into the tech folder. There is tons of great information in there. Welcome to the forum. We'd like to see pictures of your EX.

OldMechanic57,
Get a pic of that sexy beast on your signature, list up some mods, etc. Check the forums often, find stuff to comment on, get your post count up. Check out the regional chapter for your area, make some connections. I'll admit, I am not the greatest at that, but you'll run across information you didn't know you needed. Welcome! And, enjoy.

I'll try to get some pics in the near future. Recently I've finally upgraded my suspension to X's in the front and 4" blocks in the rear as I don't tow anything heavier than my bass boat. Also installed a new track bar on the front as the stock unit wasn't long enough to center my axle even with the modest lift. All I can say is that I wish I had done this mod a lot sooner! Handling and ride is greatly improved. Just installed new aftermarket headlights since the oem's were, well, all of you know what condition they were being twenty years old. Wow, I can see again at night! Have seat covers plus the driver's side cushion ordered from the seat shop. Need to r&r my heating element in the driver's seat. Installed a mild tune many years ago that I still use. Love my Excursion and keep it very well maintained. I'll probably die before it does!
