steering problem? not sure help!
So for about 6 months now every time i hit a bump or small groove in the road my truck will get thrown around feels like im hitting whoops on a dirt bike track. i took it to les schwab had them check my suspension and steering everything was fine i was told, didn't like that answer, so i took it to a local shop where i live and they said i needed a steering stabilizer so i went with a pro comp dual steering stabilizer which helped with my tiny bit of bump steer i had, but im still being tossed around the road anytime i hit a bump or groove. i explained everything to my dad whose a diesel mechanic for heavy equipment and he said it sounded like the shocks were bad, so i went ahead and got new shocks on it all the way around the old ones were pretty worn but not bad. putting the new shocks on didn't have any affect on how it drives that i could tell i still get tossed/thrown around anytime i hit a bad patch of road groves or bumps. if im on the freeway going 70 and hit a bad patch of road it feels like im going to lose control of the truck my steering wheel is fine but my truck feels like im hitting 10,000 bumps i get thrown left and right all over my lane it's terrifying. at this point i don't even take the freeway because i can't get this issue fixed and it scares the **** out of me barely being able to stay in my lane and have control over the truck. if anyone has any idea or suggestions im willing to do anything at this point.
