Ok, so I am searching for an 06-08 6.6L ECM for a 4x4 with manual transmission.... Going to car-part.com and doing a search, it asks me which ECM code I'm searching for...

What do the ID codes represent and how do I decode them?

 

The code might be on the label on the ECM. Have you checked your ECM?

The code represent different calibrations within the ECM software.

 

The code on my ecm is not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for an ECM for use with a MANUAL transmission, 6.8L 4x4.

 

Have you gone to Ford Parts website or one of the others such as White Bear or called your local dealer parts dept? That might help you more than asking here.
