Chassis ground

Where is your truck grounded to the chassis? Mine does not have one that I can find. I have the negative battery cable to the engine, the engine to the firewall, there is a ground strap from the firewall to the hood (not in use). I am also running a ground wire from the battery to the starter relay as I saw no evidence that my fender is properly grounded either. Do you think the motor mounts serve as a path to ground? I'm getting ready to upgrade my battery cables so I figured I should make sure the frame is well grounded while I'm at it since I know there are wires in the back for the fuel sensor and tail lights that ground to the frame/bed.

I think they came just with the negative battery cable running to the engine block, a ground from the block to the cab firewall, and then the ground from the firewall to the hood.
Although maybe some grounded the battery to the inner fender, and then had a ground from the fender to the engine.
So you have all of the engine and body mounts between the frame and its ground, but I'd imagine that the mount assemblies will pass enough current to adequately ground the frame.

I ran one from the same bolt on the block that gets the negative cable from the battery to the frame.

I think I used 2/0 cable.

Typically the ground was mounted to the frame with a clamp that was soldered to the cable then ran to a terminal on the engine, also there was bonding strap from the engine to the firewall and one to the hood.

See below typical frame ground

That is how my 81 F100 with a 300 six is done.
Battery to a starter bolt, this is the motor ground, with a tab bolted to the top of the frame by the motor mount perch.
I also have a motor to firewall and firewall to hood grounds.
From what I found this is just like the factory had them on my truck.

I say add a cable from the block ground to the frame and you may want to clean the others just to make sure they are good.
