Any ideas where I can find a new replacement speedometer cable for my 1968 Ford 4x4 manual transmission all i am able to find is 83 inch cable i need at least 118 inchs screw on ends thanks for any help.
NVU, Dakota Digital and Classic Instruments make adapters for mechanical cables. I am using the adapter for a Tremec to a mechanical cable from my NP 205 to factory cluster in my 68 4x4. Dakota Digital made the adapter ATP has 120" cable with the correct threaded ends. As far as the adapter for a 24, I'm not sure but I can look at the speedo cable I removed from my 24 and see if the adapter would work. But if I recall the gear end on my cable is different than the 205 set up.
This is the one in the correct length if you have a dana24. It plugs into my divorced dana24 and into the stock dash speedometer. I pulled the cable out and put cable graphite lube but I get slight need hop. https://www.ebay.com/itm/281126962673
