I ordered the procomp setup you recommended pirate. Seems like everyone on here is stoked on them. I'm looking into the Bilsteins now, and trying to decide which ones. Need the pro input.

Also, are the u bolts needed for the procomp switch the same length as stock front and back?

there is some good info on the accutune website about different shock tuning for anyone that is interested in such things. Happy Halloween

I have the same springs, very happy with them. I don't remember if the front ubolts were the same length as stock, but the backs are shorter if you completely remove the factory block

I finally got to mock up the 22415 rears and they are too short. Anyone with this setup have the same issue during install?

spoke with a procomp tech, advised to attach the front shackle, loosen rear shackle so it can span the extra distance needed and the weight of the vehicle will compress the spring to the right length.

Shortest distance between two points is a straight line or in this case, as straight as possible.

Yes, it's a bit of a struggle to install the rear springs. If you have to, you can block the rear of the spring in front of the eye and then jack up under the center of the spring. Be really careful if you have to do this.

With the rear shackle loose enough to flop around, you should be able to bolt it in, but may need to use a small bottle jack to compress it enough to tighten things up.

Finished up the procomp setup, haven't had a chance to test drive it yet. Had to cut almost every bolt cause of rust, waiting for the track bar bolts to finish up.

Piggy back

Going to piggy back this thread rather then start a new one. I have a 04 6.0 4x4 that I’m wanting to stiffen up from the factory spongy ride. I am leaning towards new shocks and front V code but leaving the stock rears as I don’t tow. My main goal is to stiffen it up so every bump isn’t a boat ride. Not looking for crazy off-road performance or being able to run the Baja.

If you like the stiffer ride, try out a set of the bilsteins before you go the route of new springs. Squishy/porpoise ride isn't your spring, it's the shock. Measure from the center of the hub to the fender. Stock measurements are 23" front and 24" rear. If you're within 1", your springs aren't worn out. The KYB MonoMax offers what I think is a very nice highway ride, but it's not a stiff ride by any means.

Got everything buttoned up and took a test ride last night. First impression is the bilstein shocks give a stiffer ride over factory shocks.
