So I thought I’d give a little review of the adjustable levelers and radius arm drop brackets from one up off-road as well as the sumo spring front bump stop replacement from sumo springs. These went on my 2020 F250 Platinum for reference.
one up off-road:
- Fisrt, I’ve got to say that the customer service is the best I have ever dealt with. Dave at ouo took the time to take my calls on his business line as well as personal cell during my installation as I was having some issues getting the bolt holes to line up during the install. He had various tips and tricks that made quick work of it and is the NICEST guy I’ve ever dealt with in the automotive space. Can not recommend ouo enough!
- Adjustable levelers, the adjustable spring leveler went on in no time and is very easy to adjust. Very well made parts (beefy) and exactly what I was looking for. If you have ever dealt with Coilover suspension before, this is the same concept and similar execution to adjust. Simply jack up the truck to get the weight off of the corner, pull the shock bolt, jack up a little more and adjust. Can do each side in about 10mins.
- Radius arm drop bracket, again, beefy and well made. Getting the bolt holes to line up on the passenger side took some fiddling and required a specific sequence, but got them on in no time. Although I haven’t gotten the alignment yet, ouo claims the brackets add roughly 2 degrees of castor and after driving the truck around after the install of everything, you wouldn’t be able to tell any difference from stock. Well executed parts from ouo and would recommend them to anyone
Sumo springs
- I went with the blue sumo springs front bump replacement and these things are the easiest install there is. About 5-10 mins per side. I went with these because I hated the harsh feeling of bottoming out on the factory bumps when at speed on the interstates over expansion joints. I was a little concerned that there was next to no clearance once installed (almost to where the truck was resting on the springs) but I thought since they were so easy to install I would give it a shot to see how they went. I called sumo springs and they told me there should be .25-1” of space between the bump landing pad and their springs and that they were not sure how they would work with the lowered suspension on the 2020s. I figured I would cut a rib off if it became an issue (which would yield about .75” of clearance). That said, after driving with them as is, it’s very smooth even on large expansion joint transitions at speed and doesn’t seem too stiff. I couldn’t really tell and difference in stiffness even though there likely is some. Cornering and body roll is greatly improved as well. So I would have to recommend these as well and very glad I went this route.
I will update with any changes or issues as time goes buy, but am very happy with my purchases and would highly recommend these parts to anyone.
On a 2019 f-450, front summo springs will be compressed about 2” and that will cuase a 1” rise.
rear summo install with 1/4 clearance at rest.
the cost mpany says you can cut them on a table saw.
i personally prefer some pre load. Next time I have the truck up.. I might cut 1” inch off the front and insert it in the rear between a new cut line. Result should be some preload on both front and rear which is what I prefer.
Great write up! Did you stay with the factory shocks?
thank you! I did stick with them for now and will put the shock extensions on next week. Want to see if I get the itch to go bigger before I drop the $$$ on shocks
Drivers side added lift: 1.4”
Passenger side lift: 1.0”
I removed the spacers with the sumo springs and have about .25” gap between contact. Sumo springs has offered to replace them with smaller springs but also told me I can cut one rib off of the spring if I desire more room. As of now it rides great, so I’ll stick with it.
Also had her aligned today and was happy to see the castor numbers (attached).
Overall, steering is tighter than stock and she drives better than I remember. Feel free to ask any questions you might have

I recently dealt with Supersprings about my rear Sumosprings, some of the best customer service I have dealt with. I am curious about the front springs now after installing blue rears.
