Okay I have a question regarding the caliper bracket mounting bolts. My local garage says they are a 16 mm by 54 mm bolt. I come up with my measurements I'm 5/8 by 2 so who is correct and where would I buy these bolts my local dealer does not have any in stock they can't tell me the size all I can get is the part number
Well the dealer gave you the part number, I would have just ordered them then. These bolts are not easy to get and the Dorman replacements are not the same quality.

that is why I'm trying to find what size bolts they are so I can avoid getting the Dorman bolts and find some good quality bolts to replace them with. My dealer was almost $8 a bolt
They're not a bolt you can just buy at the hardware store. They're a special grade, with a wide flange to spread out the clamping force, and if I recall they have a special length and diameter shoulder that helps locate the bracket properly. You're going to want to order them from your dealer or search online, there are several dealers that sell their overstocked parts at a reasonable price.
That said, the shop told you what the bolts are. They're a 16mm thread, standard thread is 2.0 but I'm pretty sure these are fine thread so probably 1.5, and 54mm long. If you really want to put standard bolts in there you can, but I wouldn't do it long term.

Well 8.00 a bolt is very reasonable for these, these are not common fasteners.
Most if not all fasteners on all Ford Trucks (bolts, nuts, washers etc) will be Metric. Try any big Hardware store (no, not Lowes or HD) try ACE hardware, Fastenal, Grainger. Obviously there are also online Fastener warehouses so there you go.
