Cowl bucket is the right name for them, I have looked everywhere for them also the side kick panels just below and directly behind the cowl bucket. The interior panel above the rear window too. The illustration you posted has them all, I just wish they could be found reproduced.
thanks
I tried to PM you back but I guess I haven't been a member long enough. That's the way my headliner panel looks, roof had a bunch of drilled holes that leaked and ruined that panel, I didn't know the roof panel would come off without taking the rear window out, but I haven't got that far yet. Where or who would you think I could sell a 78 f250 4x4 with a pile of nos parts. I hated to start posting stuff separately or just post I have a truck load of parts I don't want people on here thinking that's all I'm after is to make a quick buck, all I want is to have the parts to build my truck, and ask for advice on my build or help someone with theirs. I've waited 25 years to get started building it. I bought the f250 2 weeks ago and it came with a ton of stuff and took me nearly 30 years to finally buy it. It's all Nos Ford the body parts is mainly what I wanted, but was hoping some other things could be used also, like I suspected the 78 is a lot more different than my 76. Thanks for any advice or information..

They just changed the rules to where you only have to have 5 posts and 10 days as a registered member to have classified privileges.
"New Policy Regarding Access To Private Messaging, Ability To Post Classified Ads And Adding A Signature FTE no longer requires members to have passed the 25 post mark in order to access these features of the site. Roof panel will only come off without disturbing the windows if there is significant rust out. With a complete intact roof, you're supposed to remove the windshield and backlite, so you can get to the roof spot welds on the pinch-weld where the window seal is retained to the cab.
Mine rusted out in the front, so I replaced the cab. But it was badly enough rusted that I was able to remove my windshield, with the seal intact, with very little trouble.
Thanks for the info pics and illustrations, that's a big help. My roof is solid just has a bunch of holes drilled all over it. I have most nos panels to build a new body, the cowl buckets, and kick panels rear panel over the rear window I do need , I have nearly every cab part. I have some pieces I don't know where they go yet. See pics..0
