radiator hoses end diameter adapting?

ok my 390 radiator hoses in my '74 are 2" diameter hoses... champion says the radiator hose necks are 1-1/2" and 1-3/4" how do you make this work?? what is everyon doing about hoses being wrong diameters?? this seems like a huge major issue problem to me.... what is everyone doing to adapt and fit hoses different wrong diameters?? and they list like five different lower hoses for the 390 trucks.,, which one? my lower hose is still original stock motorcraft D2TA 8286-FA

Radiator hose

I ran into the same situation on my Coyote conversion. I went to a muffler shop and they gave me some cut off pieces of 2”, 1.3/4” and 1.5” then I slid them together and brazed the end. I had to do this on the upper and lower.

Dayco makes flex radiator hoses with different size ends. As an example, to adapt my Champion to my Coyote, I used a Dayco 1.75X1.5" for my upper hose. Perhaps they will have what you need. For the lower you could use these two additional pieces to get you there which is what I had to do. Your install may be inverse of mine however

1.5-2.0" adapter

1.5"x1.5" coupler

Are you looking at the right radiator? The inlets are all 1.75" and the outlet is 2". There is no adapting here. The only 2" upper FE hose was used from 65/66 and has a much larger thermostat.
