I just bought the TST 507 with 8 sensors. Should be here in a few days. Expensive, but great piece of mind... I understand what you're saying about the differences in backing up the two trailer types. I'm going to have to spend some time in an empty parking lot to get comfortable with it, I'm sure. I also bought side and rear view cameras to help me out. Geez, this retirement stuff is getting expensive!

I like the versatility of the TST a lot better than the Ford monitor. I got the valve stem version and can remove them and have them on another trailer in 10 minutes. I like the temps too.

A 5er will turn sharper but it takes more time to react but when it does, it goes. A standard trailers reacts almost immediately. Best suggestion here was to go to an empty parking lot to practice as stated. Take someone with you so they can critique from the outside view point. Good luck. You'll be OK. One thing I have learned, if in doubt, get out and look for yourself even if you have a spotter. The only time that you'll look dumb is when you hit something because you didn't want to look like a newbie.
